The digestion of food involves a complex system of organs, hormones, and enzymes. Many people have difficulty digesting foods, particularly as they age. The incomplete or partial digestion of foods can lead to uncomfortable side effects. Many of the indications are quite clear; intestinal gas, bloating, cramping, heartburn, and diarrhea. However, some effects are not as clear, such as the poor utilization of food, and even nutrient deficiencies. Ultra Veggie Enzymes is a comprehensive enzyme formula targeting the complete digestion of foods and their components, such as proteins, carbohydrates, sugars, starches, fibers, fats, and even hard-to-digest foods such as dairy products, grains, and legumes.†

Features
All 15 enzymes in the formula are derived from non-animal sources.
Formulated with enzymes that are active even in the low pH (acid content) of the stomach.
Three types of protease enzymes are active at pH levels of 6.0, 4.5, and 3.0.
Made from patented and trademarked nzimes™ enzymes, manufactured by National Enzyme Company®.
Vegetarian.

Benefits
Ultra Veggie Enzymes promotes healthy digestion.†
High potency of proteases helps ensure the complete digestion of proteins throughout the digestive tract, which creates greater protein and amino acid bioavailability.†
Many of these enzymes enable a thorough and complete breakdown of a broad array of carbohydrates. This helps the body utilize food, and helps to reduce gas and bloating caused by undigested fibers, starches, and sugars.†
Amylase, malt diastase and glucoamylase aid the digestion of starches such as pasta and potatoes.†
Lactase, invertase, and alpha-galactosidase help to digest table sugar and the sugars in vegetables, whole grains, and legumes.†
Cellulase and CereCalase™ help to break down the cell walls of grains, fruits, and vegetables.†
Lipase enzyme is included to help with the digestion of fats (lipids).†

Grape seed extract contains a naturally occurring variety of antioxidant substances known as polyphenols. Polyphenols have been the subject of hundreds of research studies. The specific compounds found in grape seed extract, namely OPC’s or oligomeric proanthocyanidins have consistently demonstrated significant antioxidant activity. OPC’s vary in molecular size, hence the absorption and biological activity is highly influenced by the size of the molecules. Our European Grape Seed Extract contains only the smaller, low molecular weight, more absorbable OPC’s known as dimers, trimers, and tetramers. The high content of smaller size OPC’s is crucial for maximum biological activity and hence, the therapeutic value of grape seed extract.†

Benefits
Studies show Leucoselect® grape seed extract has the ability to provide significant antioxidant protection.†
The antioxidant potential of Leucoselect® comes from its high content of proanthocyanidins which helps provide benefits to the cardiovascular system.†
Proanthocyanidins help protect the collagen matrix of the heart muscle, blood vessels, cartilage, and other soft tissue, against free radical damage.†
Clinical studies using Leucoselect® demonstrate its ability to support circulatory health (protecting the integrity of blood vessels) as well as healthy vision (protecting the small blood vessels of the eyes).†
Leucoselect® also helps neutralize free radicals that promote the inflammatory process and therefore may provide support against inflammatory-related damage.†

N-acetyl cysteine (NAC) is a source of the amino acid cysteine. The body is capable of making limited quantities of cysteine, which is used to manufacture the body’s most powerful naturally made antioxidant, glutathione. Glutathione is an important component of antioxidant enzymes, as well as an essential component of the liver’s detoxification processes. NAC has been shown to be more efficient at supporting higher glutathione levels than supplemental glutathione itself. NAC helps protect the liver from the potentially harmful effects of free radicals which are generated during metabolism, found in our environment, and those derived from the metabolism of alcohol and certain medications. Selenium and molybdenum are included as essential cofactors.

Features
Contains synergistic ingredients that help support normal, healthy liver detoxification and provide antioxidant protection.†
600mg of NAC.
Includes cofactors selenium and molybdenum.
Vegetarian capsule.
Gluten-free.

Benefits
N-Acetyl Cysteine (NAC) serves as a source of cysteine required for the liver’s synthesis of glutathione. Glutathione is a powerful antioxidant that helps neutralize free radicals produced during the first phase of liver detoxification.†
Glutathione is also needed during phase 2 liver detoxification. In this phase, various chemical intermediates produced in phase 1 are chemically bound to specific amino acids and then prepared for excretion via the kidneys (urine). If there is inadequate glutathione, toxic chemicals can accumulate causing liver damage and damage to healthy cells.†
NAC has been shown in studies to help protect the liver from the damaging effects of drug and or alcohol toxicity.†
Selenium is an important cofactor for the production of glutathione peroxidase, an enzyme made in the liver that helps neutralize toxic free radicals.†
Molybdenum is an essential cofactor for the phase 2 detoxification process known as sulfation. This process, through the use of sulfur-containing compound such as glutathione, taurine, and SAMe, helps to detoxify sulfur-containing chemicals found in food additives, drugs, and the environment, all of which can be potentially harmful to the body.†
