ATP or adenosine triphosphate is the main molecule that serves as an energy source for all biochemical and physiological processes in the body. ATP is manufactured via a complex process in a tiny part of the cell known as the mitochondria. Within the mitochondria, CoQ10 plays a major role as part of the electron transport chain, the major metabolic pathway for making energy in every cell. The process of electron transport produces free radicals that may cause damage to healthy cells. CoQ10, as an antioxidant helps neutralize these free radicals helping to support continued function of the mitochondria and other important cellular components. CoQ10 (Ubiquinone) has been extensively studied for its ability to support cardiovascular function.† It has been shown to help support the heart muscle, normal, healthy blood pressure as well as provide benefit to individual’s taking cholesterol lowering medications. These medications have been shown to reduce blood levels of CoQ10.†

DHEA is a steroid hormone produced mainly in the adrenal glands, and in lesser amounts in the testes, ovaries, and brain. Production of DHEA peaks in early adulthood and slowly declines with aging. DHEA serves as a precursor to male and female sex hormones, testosterone, and estrogen. DHEA levels are reported to be low in some individuals with anorexia, kidney disease, Type-2 Diabetes, AIDS, and the critically ill. DHEA levels may also be reduced by several drugs including steroids, and opiate type pain medications. Our DHEA is formulated to a pharmaceutical-grade for highest purity and quality.†

Features
Pharmaceutical grade, highest purity
Supports muscle integrity, libido and bone density*
Gluten-free
Easy to swallow capsule

Benefits
DHEA is a hormone produced by the adrenal glands. It is considered to be part of the steroid family and is used in the body to make testosterone and estrogen. DHEA levels can be tested by a person’s doctor. Because of the hormonal pathways of DHEA, it is a good idea to work with a health professional when taking DHEA.†
DHEA is mainly produced by the body. We get almost negligible amounts in food. The production of DHEA declines with age. By about 60 we produce only 5-15% of what we produced in our 20’s.†
There is also growing evidence of DHEA helping to support healthy bone structure, especially in postmenopausal women.†
There are also preliminary studies showing DHEA helps support healthy sexual function in older women and possibly men (no age group indicated).†

Joint disease is a potentially debilitating condition that affects the soft tissue matrix that “cushions” our joints. Glucosamine and chondroitin sulfate are both integral components of healthy joint tissue and are the forms that have been used in major clinical trials. Vitamin C, manganese, and bromelain work synergistically to enhance the proven benefits of these components.

Features
Clinically effective doses of glucosamine and chondroitin sulfates.
Manganese and Vitamin C are added for their synergistic effects.
Available in 3 tablet/day dosage.

Benefits
Glucosamine sulfate helps support the production and limits the breakdown, of proteoglycans – a class of compounds that make up the cartilage matrix of joint tissue.†
Clinical studies demonstrate the efficacy and safety of glucosamine sulfate in helping to support the cartilage matrix of joints, particularly the knee joint.†
Chondroitin sulfate has been shown to support the structural matrix of joints as well as the production of hyaluronic acid (the major component of synovial fluid which keeps joints “lubricated” and moving freely).†
Chondroitin sulfate may help limit chondrocytes from producing enzymes and other compounds that stimulate the breakdown of the cartilage matrix of joint tissue.†
Manganese and vitamin C are both essential for the production of the collagen matrix that helps support the structural integrity of cartilage.†

Joint disease, mainly osteoarthritis is a potentially debilitating condition that affects the soft tissue matrix that “cushions” our joints. Joint health requires a complex interplay between nutrient availability, inflammation, and repair of articular cartilage and maintenance of the synovial fluid. To help support the structural integrity of joint cartilage, Glucosamine and MSM both offer significant benefits. Glucosamine is an integral component of healthy joint tissue while, OptiMSM® provides a synergistic benefit, as it is a source of sulfur, a trace mineral that is an important structural component of joint cartilage. We use the highest quality raw materials that are identical to those used in the major clinical trials.

ATP or adenosine triphosphate is the energy source used for all body processes. ATP is manufactured through a complex process in a tiny part of the cell known as the mitochondria. Within the mitochondria, CoQ10 plays a major role in the production of energy (ATP) and as an antioxidant to help protect the cell. In order to carry out these respective tasks, CoQ10 gets converted from the ubiquinone form, which is involved in the production of energy (ATP), to the ubiquinol form, which functions as an antioxidant. Age and health deficiencies, however, can affect the body’s ability to manufacture ubiquinol from the ubiquinone form. This can lead to sub-optimal levels which can reduce energy production and weaken the body’s immune and antioxidant defenses. Supplementation with CoQ10 in the reduced, ubiquinol form, supports the body’s antioxidant requirements to help combat free radicals, while helping it to maintain healthy ATP (energy) levels.†

Features
Ubiquinol from Kaneka, one of Japan’s leading manufacturers of CoQ10.
Reduced antioxidant form, no conversion necessary; more bioavailable.
Kaneka QH™ is stabilized through a patented process.
All trans form; no cis isomers.
Identical in structure to the CoQ10 produced in the body.
Processed through natural fermentation; not synthetic.
Easy to swallow soft gel capsule.
Gluten free.

Benefits
Provides a direct source of ubiquinol bypassing the need for conversion.
Several factors such as aging, certain medications and disease state can affect the conversion of ubiquinone to ubiquinol.†
Ubiquinol CoQH offers improved absorption and bioavailability, especially to individuals who fall into one of the above categories and have difficulty achieving optimal levels of this nutrient.†
High levels of energy (ATP) are necessary for the optimal function of all body systems. Ubiquinol plays an indirect role in providing support for the production of optimal levels of ATP.†
In addition to its role in energy production, the main role of ubiquinol (reduced CoQ10) is its ability to help neutralize free radicals by providing antioxidant support.†
